The Pre just keeps popping up all around the place. This time around it’s made appearances on ABC, CBS, and FX. Even better, we don’t see the Pre doing things it can’t do (well, for the most part). We’ll start with the last: the new FX show The League, where the Pre got a big close-up during the opening scene, displaying a streaming video speech. Sadly, it looks to have been videoshopped (err...) into place, as the header bar with network info is visible with full screen video. But it’s a Pre getting big face time in a new show, and judging by the flood of tips we got on this one, a lot of you saw it.
Next up is the freshman CBS drama The Good Wife, set in the chaotic world of a high-powered Chicago law firm. It is here that you’ll find the Palm Pre in the capable young hands of junior attorney Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry), making phone calls with the screen turned on again. Memo to props department: It’s 2009, smartphones don’t glow when you talk on them anymore.
And then there's sophomore a drama, though on ABC and more towards the order side of the law equation is Castle. While Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) is billed as the star of the show, he’s not blessed with a sweet little webOS-packin’ handset, is he? Clearly, Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) is the true star, and she makes sure we know it by whipping out her Pre multiple times. She even knows how to use it - the screen turns off! Or props took out the battery... nah. And hey, 'Castle' was the codename for the in-development Pre, nudge nudge wink wink.
Lastly, there’s Ghost Whisperer back on CBS. In her paranormal-aided investigations, Melinda Gordon (Jennifer Love Hewitt) finds that sometimes she needs to show some pictures to jog someone’s memory. What better way to do that than with a Pre?
Have you spotted the Pre or another Palm device on your favorite show? Drop us a note at pretips@precentral.net with the show and a few relevant details like air date, time in the episode, and an online video link if you've got one.
Thanks to Kevin for The Good Wife, Shashi for Castle, David for Ghost Whisperer, and the eighty seven bazillion of you that sent in the The League sighting.

Actually I also saw a Pre on the last FlashForward episode, **SPOILER ALERT** . . .the guy (can't remember his name) who ends up committing suicide is talking on a Pre when he receives the call during his flash forward about how the kids will be orphans.
they have the pre on Heroes every week. they even have a special series for it called "slow burn" that you can watch online. Although it show someone locating the owner of the Pre through geotagged photo and the pre flipping quickly through a photo album with crystal clear photos every time.
Desperate Housewives has it on there every week. I also noticed Two and a Half men has it on there quite a bit.
(WARNING: tangent ahead) I notice that they keep showing people use the phone by sliding it open to talk. I would have laughed at the silliness of this before I got the "slide closed to hang up" patch. Now that I actually started using the slide open and close mechanism to answer and end calls, I can't do it any other way anymore. It's kind of a viscerally satisfying feeling to control it that way. 8^D
@mastercko
Um...you could already answer calls by sliding the Pre open. It's a native feature. You just couldn't hang up by closing it until the patch. :)
(p.s. There's a patch that will slide open to speaker if you use that function often (or say while driving)
Two comments...
First, I feel like I need Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler here... "The League?!? Really?" ... "Really?" Who's watching that garbage?
Second... Stana Katic... AGHAGAHGAHGAHAA.
Sorry, couldn't resist. Great show made all the more great by the eye candy. Anyone see the actual Heatwave book out in real book stores?? I laughed my butt off! Couldn't bring myself to buy it though for some reason. I suspect my wife will get it for me for Christmas though :)
Err, that "AGHAGAHGAHGAHAA" was meant to be a Homer Simpson drool sound... probably should have mentioned that :)
FYI Castle is a sophomore series; the first season is already out on DVD.
