The Pre appears to still be making the rounds in Hollywood, this time popping up in last week’s episode of Bones, in the hands of Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan (played Emily Deschanel). She must have My Notification installed, because her phone sure didn’t make the familiar “da-ding” when that message came in.
On set isn’t the only place you’ll see the Pre in celebrity hands, as William Shatner can attest. But we can add another name to the Pre-owners list: actress Shannon Elizabeth, best known for *ahem* displaying her talents in the first American Pie film. Well, she’s an active Twitter bug and has posted dozens of pictures from her Pre, and seems to be a dedicated user of Tweed. Rock on, crazy dog pictures.

It was also in last weeks "Lie To Me". he used the camera to take a picture.
It's like a new age version of "Where's Waldo?" =)
LOL
There was an appearance on recent episode of Castle where Detective Beckett taking calls on Pre but each time it rang differently, nothing like default Pre ringtones :). By the way Sprint have a inside presence of all Fox series and that is why from 24 to Bones all have some type of sprint phones.
Glad to see the Pre is doing the rounds on the screen, now all we need is a large influx of quality Pre ads *Hint Hint* =P
The pre was also in How I met you Mother monday night.
saw that as well. was kinda hard to see but it was definitely a Pre
all this publicity doesn't resolve the fact that our phones can't do many of these basic functions out of the box.
What do you mean, can't do these functions out of the box. I have one and it does all of these functions out of the box?
oh, i didn't realize you had an exclusive pre that can modify txt tones w/o my notifications. you're lucky.
Weeton, there are a lot of things still missing, so...no more promo and publicity until the obscure stuff is working? The new customers that catch the product placement buzz and just want the darn thing to ring, will un wittingly pay for the development you can't live without.
i'm fine with publicity, but not for a product that isn't living up to its hype. for what you consider as obscure, many users (i included) view as basic functions that should have been released with the phone. i understand the need to promote their product, but how about pleasing your current consumer base while you're at it.
I'm looking for simpler, more mainstream stuff that relates to security and efficiency. If you can't take the delays, vote with your feet.
I was wondering when Tempe was going to get her hands on a Pre. She was a dedicated Centro user for a couple seasons. Glad she finally got an upgrade :)
She had to wait for her contract to expire.
it was also on How I Met Your Mother this past monday (oct 19) when Ted was describing how Marshal and Lily went from I to we. Also, on Two and a Half Men towards the beginning when Charlie and Alan are bickering in the ice cream place Alan took out a phone that could only be the pre.
i think nathan petrelli used one in heroes series 4 episode 5or6
I think some of you watch to much tv. :-)
Do people not watch Two and a Half Men? Alan has been using this phone in the last 3 (or so) episodes.
But we can add another name to the Pre-owners list: actress Shannon Elizabeth, best known for...
Ignore me, I like Shannon Elizabeth. :p Now I really like my Palm Pre!
Funny thing, when I saw this article, I had her picture (playing poker) as my wallpaper on my Palm Pre. ;)
The Palm fan page on Facebook posted a link to this article! PalmCentral FTW! Woot! \m/
watching the new Taps on SyFy tonight with my step son. At the end when they where closing the show in the SUV. My step son saw what he thought to be a palm pre case(the black and orange one your pre came with) on the console/cup holder. Can't miss it!
You can see the Pre 3-4 times on FlashFoward TV show. I catch it all the time on shows. It's very cool.
