Palm Pre Hardware
The Palm Pre is a "vertical slider," which means that it has the "best of both worlds." When closed, the entire front of the device is a 320x480 finger-friendly capacitive touchscreen that supports multitouch gestures with an innovative user interface. It can also slide open to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. It also sports Palm's famous "Ringer Switch," which lets you set the phone to silent quickly and easily.

Sync the Pre
Another innovative feature of webOS is Synergy. webOS automatically pulls information from multiple sources and integrates them all on the Palm Pre. You can connect it to Facebook, Gmail, and Exchange and any changes that happen on any of those services are automatically synced to your Palm Pre (including photos!), and with Gmail and Exchange, changes from your phone are synced back onto the server. Synergy is smart enough to prevent duplicate contacts while keeping your contacts and calendars separate.

Multitasking on the Pre
In addition, webOS multitasks using a system Palm has dubbed "Cards." Each application on the Palm Pre appears on a "card" which you can shuffle through and re-arrange just like on your desktop computer - you don't have to close one program to use another. So if you're writing an email, you can set it aside to check a web page and then go back to finishing your email, and all the while be listening to streaming music from the web.

IM and SMS on the Pre
The Palm Pre also features Integrated Messaging. This allows your communication to focus on the people you're talking to instead of remembering which app to use. Instant messaging and SMS text messaging are seamlessly integrated into the messaging app and into your contacts.

Searching with the Pre
Add one more advantage to the Palm Pre: Universal Search. With the Pre, you can just start typing and the Pre will automatically search your contacts and applications - if it can't find what you're typing, it automatically pops up buttons to search Google, Wikipedia, and more.

Palm Pre Accessories
The Palm Pre will have a wealth of accessories available for it, from Palm Pre cases to Bluetooth Headsets to the innovative wireless charging dock called "Touchstone." It supports A2DP Bluetooth Stereo, has a standard 3.5mm headset jack, and uses microUSB for charging and syncing files.
