PhoneArena.com has six shots of Verizon inventory system screens displaying info on phones Big Red hasn’t yet announced. There’s the BlackBerry Storm 2, the HTC Touch Pro 2, the Samsung Omnia II, and the Convoy U640. But we know you don’t care about those. What’s important to you is that there are two Palm devices listed in this inventory system. Yes, two: the Palm P101VZW and Palm P121VZW. Considering that we know the Sprint Pre to be the P100, it seems reasonable to assume that the P101 is the Pre for Verizon, though we have no clue if the number bump means that the hardware has been changed. And P121? There’s only one other upcoming Palm device that we’ve heard of, and that’s the Eos, presumably the P121 indeed will be the smaller slate-style webOS phone.
Astute readers will note that both screens list in stock quantity as “0” and the sliver of the pricing line in the P101 seems to just be filled with zeros (and no, that does not mean it will be free). But if you wanted any more proof that Palm would find its way back to Verizon wireless, well, you’re going to need the word from CEO Lowell McAdam.

these are fake i just checked the database and only the storm2, TP2 and the sholes come up. also i can edit the numbers to whatever i please. i would post pics but i aint tryna lose my job.
Verizon may have removed them after the "leak", or perhaps they were just fake screenshots.
Everyone likes to speculate, and it is a good guess that the devices will end up there.
Do you have a way of seeing a history of devices added/removed?

They don't have any of the hallmarks of fake and are perfectly consistent with prior leaked road maps and documents. Eos around thanksgiving, Pre same time or a few weeks after.
Which "leaked" road maps are those?? You mean an executive being asked questions by investors as to whether Verizon will carry the Pre? How do you explain Verizon launching the Pre this year, when we all know Sprints exclusive contract is more than six months? With an option to extend the contract! YOU can continue to believe these rumors if YOU want to, Verizon is NOT getting the Pre. I (and many others) have been saying for the longest time, the second CDMA version was going to Bell Canada... It did! Then the next version will be the Euro GSM version... It is! We've all seen the Bell and GSM versions, nothing confirmed for Verizon.
Of course the hardware will be different. VZW hates WiFi on their devices, so they'll obviously cripple their version of the Pre.
I agree...they will also disable the GPS, unless you buy the plan that they offer. I am glad that I moved from Verizon to Sprint!
They stopped crippling wifi and GPS
There was a hardware change from 100 to 101, Verizon had to add the Lobotomy chip, before it could run on their network.

You aren't going to like the PRE on Verizon. They are going to take away all of the good features of the phone and make you pay extra for them. But you do get to pick you top 10 er 5. what ever the number is..
Verizon Wireless will not likely disable anything on the existing Pre. They have indeed in the past removed WiFi and locked down GPS chips. They have publicly stated that they do not intend to do that going forward.
I am excited for what both Palm and Verizon can do together for both of these devices. If the EOS launches with the anticipated price point of $99.99 on contract they will sell like crazy!
My true hope for Palm and WebOS is that they get it out on as many carriers as possible, similar to Blackberry. I want as many people as possible to have these phones so that EVERYONE can benefit for the awesome technology and increase features, applications, and support.

I don't think Vzw will disable anything on the Pre. Every blackberry after the Curve 8330 has had their GPS fully unlocked, and wifi will come on all blackberrys after the Tour.
I won't be surprised if they do cripple something but I'll be very dissapointed.
this would be huge for palm...i hope its true.
I like the pre on verizon as a boost to palm sales, but am glad I am on sprint. I agree with others about verizon charging extra for everything, based on previous experience, and feel verizon will limit some of the openness that is so great about the pre. Still a great phone for verizon customers but not sure if it will be as good as the sprint version.
