EverythingPre caught the picture at right appearing on Twitter from lo_toney (since removed). We see the YouTube app popping up here -- looks fairly straightfoward, just like a YouTube app should be.
They're out there, folks, just not where you want them to be (i.e. in your hands). Damage_inc caught the rest and posted them in our Pre Forums.

my guess is its that plastic they have on all screen type things when shipped so chances are it was just opened from the box.

Hey Dieter... How do we not point out something obvious: The Pre might be ready to rock FLV already! Thought that wasn't coming till later this year. Did I miss something? I thought this was news.
You guys/girls, for the record, the videos streamed through the "YouTube app" do not need flash. The videos are 3gp which the Pre supports.

The good news is: according to some people in Sprint, Pre should be released mid May.
The bad news: forget "hundreds" of apps available in "Palm app store". At least new apps. Some old crap will be available using emulator (or w/e), but they have like 10-15 new apps ready to go so far. And that's the only problem right now.
So if you need lotsa apps, wait a month or two for lower price - don't buy mid may.
I don't think that's necessarily true about the applications.
We've only seen a hand full of apps, but look at the apps we've seen: Fandango, Pandora.. both HUGE.
Then the stocks app and flight view; both hugely useful, especially for the business user.
On the Palm website they don't even show the Nascar app, yet there are videos all over YouTube with this app.
My point is, just because they're not on the Palm website doesn't mean they don't exist.
The same thing happened when the iPhone app store was opened, it looked like there was going to be hardly any apps because Apple had all the developers under an NDA. Then when the AppStore opened there was tons of stuff and it kept flooding in.
I would just say, just because we haven't seen a bunch of apps announced, doesn't mean there won't be a lot in the Pre App Catalog. :)
OMG, i don't care if there are zero apps at launch. The orgasm from having the phone alone would tide me over for several months...gadagadagadagagda
I need reasonable sources before I believe anyone saying that the Pre will be out by mid May. Sprint hasnt "officially" announced anything, so until then my guess is as good as anyone else's.
The apps will come eventually, we'll survive, we just want the Pre ASAP.
Ok it is official!!! The Pre is Out MAY!!!!!!!!!! I went to the sprint store to get a new touch pro..so let me spill the beans I had the touch pro since it came out and then I heard the Per was coming out in may so somebody gave me tip on how to get a new phone(Touch Pro) from sprint with out using your insurance HOLD ON TO YOUR SEATS! he said put it in the microwave for 3 sec :) well it worked got me a brand new one in the box and already sold it for what ever the Pre will possible cost!! Well my point is i have a sero account and only the managers can access my account so as he was setting up my phone i said " SO Pre March 17?" he laughed because he didn't expect me to say that and said ya they told us may but no exact date!!!!!

I would not try that! It is called insurance fraud and depending on the state where you live it may be a felony!
