Works awesome, only thing i would like after coming from an iPhone would be for this app to check what you have installed and notify you of updates. Its alot easier than going thru or apps and comparing. Other than that add a search and it will be by far the only app you would need on your Phone. A++++
If you have only one app this is the one to have. Of course once you have this, it's only the beginning.

same here can't get this app to the Web OS quick installer
this app was working great but now its just loading not showing me any apps to download, I tried resetting the phone but nothing happens can anyone help me, i like this app its better then the app catalog it has more apps.

Well I guess its a copy paste mistake but link is not correct. Please update. I am talking about new version 1.1.2
I was able to download/install the new version. Phone has to be in dev mode.
what is dev mode and how do you put the phone is dev mode?
ok, i figured out how to get it in developer mode.... but it still says the application cannot be downloaded!!!
I have installed this using WebOS Quick Install but I always get version 1.1.1 popping up. When I orange-tap File Coaster, I don't get the "delete" option. I installed FC back when the Quick Install wasn't available and used wget via terminal...

I cannot download is application on my pre.... and i can't download other applications until i download this one.... when i click on "download filecoaster" from my pre it says "cannot find an application which can open this file" HOW THE HECK CAN I DOWNLOAD THIS IN ORDER TO DOWNLOAD THE OTHER APPLICATIONS? if i can't figure this out by the end of the day i'm bring this pre back and getting the blackberry tour... this phone is way too complicated for my taste. Seriously? You need to go to the App Catalog if you want easy install. Otherwise, check the thread on Installing Home Brew Apps: http://www.precentral.net/how-to-install-homebrew-apps

Love the app (of course)... quick question: can I download the update for Filecoaster FROM Filecoaster once it's on my device or do I need to delete it and re-install it?
I don't know what is going on with my computer, but I can't get this to work. I'm @ step 4, however as soon as I hit install I get ERROR:1 Connection Refuse: connect. I hit OK and I get another message ERROR: no device found. So I hit OK one more time and it shows connecting to device and it stays there forever. Any help? I already restart my computer and reinstall novacom...
Anyone getting an error once you tap Homebrew List? I'm getting "error occurred (some code stuff) cannot get xmllist"...
@diabolick3000: When I was getting that error, I unpacked the webOSdoctor.jar (just open it with Winzip unpack it), went into the resources folder and ran the NovacomInstaller_x86.msi (_x64 if you are running a 64-bit OS). That fixed the problem for me. It sounds like you might have done that, but if not, give that a shot.
now i only get one message ERROR: Device no found. instead of 2 errors. i can see a window that says "Connecting to device..." and thats it. i cant cancel or anything stays there forever. im deff doing something wrong i just dont know what.
I was having the same problem. I have no idea why what I did worked, but I downloaded a second app and put them both in the Quick Installer. When I went back and transferred, it allowed me to transfer fielcoaster and the otehr app I downloaded.
Definetely a must have app for anyone with a Palm Pre. The new update (1.1.4) is a welcome one and it's obvious this app is headed in a great direction! I'm really looking forward to the future versions and the features they may hold. Thanks!
I'd like the thank the author for making this tool. Not only does it make loading homebrew apps super-easy, it makes the testing of apps (for us developers) very convenient. Now I don't have to hook up the phone via USB. I can just download a test package via fileCoaster.
i had this workin 2weeks ago, now how do i get webos quick install to open!!!!!
