What about existing Sprint customers??? No deals for us????
I've been a loyal Sprint customer for years and now that I've been out of a contract for 2 years. I am willing to get back on a contract if I could get the Pre for around $100 but no more.
I think Spring is missing out a lot by not making much of an effort to keep their existing customers.
Because that would be logical and a successful business model. I do want to second the disappointment in the lack of love between Pre Central and those of us on upgrade status.
IF you are already a customer if you click on that link you can extend your contract for 2 yrs and you still get that discount.
Actually, they DO have almost the same deal for existing customers!!
On the left hand side, in the "Carrier Selected" box, click the link: "Renew/Upgrade your phone"
That will give you (an existing customer) a Palm Pre for $109.99 + $9.99 shipping = total of $119.98. Still a fantastic deal!
Why wouldn't you just call Sprint up and ask them if they can cut you a deal since EVERYBODY and their brother has been selling Pres for $100 or less???
I called them up on multiple occasions. They'd always say $250 with $100 MIR. I point out what everybody else is selling them for, ask if they can cut me a deal or make the MIR instant... and guess what! Every time they'd come back with a $99 "after rebate" pricing. The rebate is no big deal to me because it takes 5 minutes to fill it out and drop it in the mailbox. And really... if Sprint needs the $100 that bad for 4-6 weeks or whatever it is, I can let them borrow it for that long, because I really like the deals that they cut me every month compared to every other carrier. I ♥ Sprint!
P.S. - If you order from Sprint Telesales, you're guaranteed to get a Pre that was built in October or later. No other retail store/site can guarantee that. RS, BB, Wirefly, LetsTalk, etc. ALL have older batches. Not like it's a huge concern, but there's many benefits by going thru Telesales.

I went to wirefly, where the deal was, and it had a deal at the top saying "Already a sprint PCS customer, click here to get this deal with a contract extension." I didn't go through with the whole deal, but it seems to work for me. also, you have to pay $10 for shipping from wirefly, so you are looking at a $30 deal instead of going to your local sprint store.

you only have to pay shipping for the 2nd phone. It didnt charge me for shipping on the first phone. And the third, shipping is also free.

Oh!! they tend to charge the shipping fee for indiv plans. My bad again. You're right on the indiv plans but on family they only charge on one phone.

Is it normal to have an activation fee of $36 for existing customers?
Nope. But then again, Wirefly isn't "normal". Either way, Sprint will likely waive it if you ask them politely enough... or you're persistent enough.
Wirefly??!! Why Dieter, Whyyyyyyyyyy?? google "wirefly" and bask in the multitudes of bad reviews and customer frustration. Hopefully the lads @ precentral will bring some class to the website
My Premier upgrade isn't until Dec 1st, but I have a question about ordering.
I have a 4-line Family plan. My phone, the primary line is the only one eligible for an upgrade.
How do I just upgrade my phone, yet keep my 4-line family plan unchanged? The system that the Accessory store, Best Buy, and Radio Shack all seem to use won't let me order just one phone????
Anyone who doesn't want their headset can get in touch with me. I'll provide a safe, loving home for it!
