Update 9:54 Eastern: Palm has pulled nearly all of the paid apps (we see only Checkers Pro) while they fix what we understand from the folks at webos-internals to be a critical security bug. We'll update again when we have more.
What a long (but surprisingly quick) road it’s been, but the time is finally here. Welcome to the world of paid webOS applications! Starting at about 4 PM EST today, paid applications made their entry into the App Catalog, starting with the $1.99 Air Hockey from Acceleroto, the same company behind the popular Air Hockey game for the iPhone (though this version appears to be limited to just player-vs-phone for now).
This is the first of what we expect to be many and numerous paid apps for the Pre, but when we’ll see more is anyone’s best guess.
- Who Wants To Be A Millionaire from Capcom Interactive, $4.99.
- BlockDrop by Daniel Farina, $4.99. Our First Palm Pre Homebrew Paid app! Congrats!
- Weatherbug Elite hits for $1.99, live, local maps from WeatherBug - configurable background updates too.

- Go To Tool, $7.49 congrats to Homebrew Graduate markpowers! Get your place saving action on.
- NewsRoom, $4.99 news app, covers tech, gossip, sports, etc and caches on-device.
- Mezzoman, $0.99, like Mezzoman - Free, finds the place you want to go between you and your friend, or with this version, two friends (i.e. three people).
- Wobble Words, at $4.99 from Gobico Games, is a cross between Boggle, Tetris, and Scrabble.

Thanks to everyone that sent this in!

This is the first time I've missed an 'F5' key on my Pre. :)
Yes we are moving on up. Its just two apps but damn it feels good.
I see the light!!!
2nd :(
This is a start I guess... but there is no way I'd spend $2 on an air hockey game. Nice try, but no cigar on this one!
More importantly, there is no way I would pay $2 for *ANYTHING* I could not *TRY FIRST*.
They expect us to just pay for something without seeing or trying it? No demo? No sample mode? No light version? No thanks...
Yeah. Look at what a failure the iPhone app store has been. Clearly palm should have known better.
mr sarcasm, there is a reason why everyone here has a palm pre or wants one....because the people here do not want to pay overpriced ATT and because we obviously do not like the way apple manages there communist iphone.
I WILL NEVER BUY AN APP BEFORE TRYING IT....software for computer are that way and i do not expect any less just because it is less money...
put out a one minute trial if you must....atleast something
mr born-yesterday,
when you go to the grocery store and buy a particular beer, do you get to try it first before you purchase it? or do you ask around and figure if it's any good first?
just because a few offer demos doesn't mean that everyone must in order to be seen as reasonable. how about a little realism, buddy!
Beer that has been drunk cannot be sold. An app that has been demoed has not lost any of its value.
I'm not disagreeing with you but rather pointing out that your analogy is a little shaky. The creator of the app loses nothing by putting a timed demo out there, except maybe some sales to people who decide they actually don't like the app after trying it.
but you have to look at the fact that some people are just losers, and may enjoy playing a little demo version over and over and over again. and the developer is getting nothing from it.
This has just so pissed me off at Palm!!!! I don't care if it is a 5 game demo. Give us a demo. I now feel like I own an iPhone. This is one of the things I have been preaching would be different. You've got to be F'in kidding me...!
It has nothing to do with Palm, unless you want Palm to mandate a demo from all its developers. If you want a demo, politely contact the app developer and let them know you're unwilling to purchase without one. Maybe they're working on one.
I don't really know but I'm guessing there are no demos now because that would constitute two submissions to the app catalog, which might be too complicated for Palm and the developer to deal with right now. That will change.
yes i do want a mandate of demos
i would buy an xbox live arcade game or a real game if i didnt get a demo.
every free app has had a TRY ME button since the beginning of the app catalog....obviusly everyone asuumed that the button ment somethint when the paid apps would go on sale...
I'm not sure why Palm should care about someone crazy.
The app store are for apps made by developers. They aren't made or priced by Palm.
correct but they can mandate a demo for every app...
crazy is someone who pays for an app without knowing if its gonna be good, bad or whatever......
and you as a developer refuse to put out a trial, it is because you know you app sucks and want to trick the consumer into blindly buying your crap
IF we would be able to taste all beer before buying for the past 20 years and here you come with a new BEER trying to make in to the market with the heavyweights that have been doing it since the beginning and do not want to let people taste it ..then you are f*cked sir....simple as that
i am a happy palm pre owner and i am happy that the app catalog is getting better choices of apps, but maybe if my friend kept a case of cold apps in the fridge that i could try when i go over to his house i would be able to make a decision and buy my own
Finally! Let's get this party started!!
I guess I will be the first to say it.... $1.99?????? I have a free app just like this on my Ipod touch. Ok guys flame me for saying it.
It's not like Palm sets the pricing. That's up to the devs. The news isn't the specific app, just the fact that it's now possible.
I get that, but it's been possible for a few days now. I'm happy it's finally coming together though. Now if they will raise that memory cap.
I guess you could say the same about the $99 GPS apps for the iphone vs the free one I have on my phone.
Except that those $99 GPS apps... oh, just nevermind.
Ever heard of supply and demand?! There are no apps of this kind for WebOS, where as there are a kagillion such apps for iPod/iPhone... that's why it's free for iPod and one should charge for a WebOS device. Has nothing to do with Palm, everything do with the developer.
Thank you for vindicating my earlier point:
http://www.precentral.net/whats-most-youd-pay-webos-app#comment-27628
I wonder how well it's going to do. Do you guys think that folks will get it because they're just yearning to give palm their cash for a shiny new app?
I was considering it, but I'm going to wait and see if anything else is added before the end of the day before doing that.
I guess I had hoped paid apps to have a timed demo option of some sort to try before you buy.
I'm sure that will vary by app/developer.
Ditto
They had better allow trial ware - I do not want an App Store clone. My pennies, even 200 of them, are precious to me.
As a side note, did they increase the /var memory partition so I can actually download this?
Oh well. No sale to me.
Palm needs to fix the memory limit desperately. Unless there goal is to hose developers.
I wonder if is possible to increase the physical RAM on the Pre or if there a software approach for allowing me to download more apps and data -- because I too am frequently told an app can not be downloaded or upgraded.
Years ago I sent my Palm V out to have its RAM upgraded to 8Meg (http://pages.interlog.com/~tcharron/Palm8M/upgradeservice.html).
I have a demo for mine. Everyone really wants to try before they buy.
Yeah Sacherjj,
I agree wholeheartedly, but as much as I have loved Word Whirl, you can count on me buying a copy to match my homebrew version.
Now I just need to figure out a way to fit it on my Pre...
I wonder if an "I AM RICH" app will come out for the pre
"I Am Richer" should be in beta by now. I'm sure "Any Mobile, Any Time" has caused them to make the app even more boastful.
Is this the flood of apps palm keeps referencing that they supposedly had to hire additional employees for.
WTB T-Payne app. Lolz
English, mofo! Do you speak it?!
Just bought it. Boy was this developer lucky to be first. People like me will download it just because it is first. What a killing he is gonna make.
actually i would have to pass on that. who cares.
Do you like the game?
yes -- and my kids LOVE it!
Why is the developer ripping people off? The exact application on the iphone is $.99. Why is it an extra dollar for the pre? I understand it's only a dollar more but for such a simple game that a Homebrew developer could easily make its not worth the $2. Here's the itunes url if you guys don't believe me:
http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=286106...
Keep telling yourself, The Pre is not an i phone the pre is not an iphone.
Comparing to something that it isnt is a pretty pointless thing. The pre is not an iphone.
Im sure I could point you to 2000000 sites that have this game for free on the computer. But the pre is not a computer. and the pre is not an iphone.
Crying "the iphone has..." is pointless, the pre is not an iphone.
If we wanted it to be an iphone, we would have got an iphone.
Say it with me. The pre is not an iphone. There for it will be different from an iphone.
Ok. So because the Pre is not an Iphone ripping people off for an extra $1 is ok. Thanks for playing!
How is charging money for something ripping someone off.
If you have said your mantra that a pre is not an iphone then saying it is $1 more than an iphone should not say anything.
how bout this, its $58 cheaper than a new PS3 game. a pre is not a ps3 as it is not an iphone, so comparing the price of either is just about as stupid is it not?
Something isnt a rip off when it is the only one of its kind. You cant even compare to another pre app since its the first paid one.
We will have to agree to disagree. You say tomatoes I say.....
Price is only an issue in the absence of value.
I hope you aren't seeing relevance between an iPhone and a PS3, if you think they are that far apart then your milk is seriously sour!
Yes,my phone is pre and my phone is pre, one more time, my phone a Preeeeeeeee.LOL'
Seriously, let pre be a pre.
I bought my palm pre 2 1/2 weeks ago and i really love it,it is so much difference from the iphone and it is going to have so much potential.Give it another few more months and you'll see.
If i wanted a iphone i would have NOT bought the palm pre.Btw, my iphone 3G of 9 months is being ingnored for the last, well, since i owned the palm pre.I might even get rid of it!! My phone is a pReeeeeeeeeeeee! like no other phone like it.
Johnflo88.
Because the iPhone has a larger user base. Obviously.
+1000 This is so obvious it is amazing how many people ask that question. Economics 101.
And it has been discussed MANY times, that .99 cent apps price point for everything is BAD. We want developers to develop GOOD things. Good things cost money. Good things will not be developed if they cannot get a return on investment. Do you want good things for $3-5 bucks or 2trillion tip calculators that take 4 minutes to make for .99?
Support good apps at the price a developer is asking. Let the iphone drown in cheap pointless apps that no one wants and makes good apps impossible to locate amongst the sea of garbage.
neither is good
cause i'm not paying for bad $.99 app and i'm not paying for a "good" $5.99 app if it's over priced. Higher price does not guarantee better quality.
now obviously if it's something really good or really special it could be worth a high price. But I've yet to see that short of like Madden or something. And Pre can't do games of that quality yet.
I mean an S-class may be great quality but the price point makes it an issue for a lot of people. Just cause it's higher priced doesn't mean it's any good or worth a premium price.
Worse yet, look at the developer's web page from the Pre.
It renders horribly, horribly wrong. Huge white spaces with missing things, frames with missing images that I can only imagine are flash, etc. Doesn't look like he owns a Pre or cares how things look from it. Not a good omen.
Ever heard of supply and demand?! There are no apps of this kind for WebOS, where as there are a kagillion such apps for iPod/iPhone... that's why it's free for iPod and one should charge for a WebOS device. Has nothing to do with Palm, everything do with the developer.
I'm holding out for the $.99 flashlight app.
no demo first?
Exactly. There is no way I would pay $2 for *ANYTHING* I could not try first.
This is clearly a developer in house that must have some pretty scandalous photos of one of the higher ups to get this kind of preferential treatment. Just kidding
I think this is the first guinea pig pay app to see how it is going to work on the Pre. I would think that over the next few days they will start releasing more and more. It would be no sense in releasing a flood of paid apps and their system takes a crap, then we would have a new post on here bitching as usual how and why it didnt work.
Ah, lighten up guys. I happily paid $1.99 for Air Hockey just so I can say I did. On Pre launch day I woke up early and stood in line. It's all part of the ride. There is intrinsic value in giddy milestone excitement. Count me in. This is what I signed up for.
since you bought it, how do you like it?
It's cute. There doesn't seem to be any sound though (anyone else, or just me?) which is too bad. I played at the easiest level and it was definitely playable. A perfectly good time-killer. My kid will enjoy it I think. Occasionally the animation stutters for a half second; the cost of multi-tasking I suppose. No regrets at all on the purchase.
Can't download it. "Sorry, not enough memory"
App Catalog fails without a memory fix.
Seriously!! I have no idea why Palm put this memory limit on app space, but not on music, video, or any other file type. Makes no sense. They need to fix it fast!
I'm going to buy this app. Not because I'm so enamored with air hockey, but because I want to show support for the store.
The only thing I don't like about this is the fact that I have to choose now which apps to delete from my phone. Damn that memory limit...
ill buy this if I have enough memory
check back in 5
I downloaded it, gladly paid $2 for the excitement of buying the 1st paid app. Sounds pathetic? So be it. I liked the feeling.
I've spent more on gumballs for my 3 kids and that lasted for 5 minutes. To each his own I guess.
Nice...like mentioned above this is NOT the IPhone and nor would I want it to be. Price is always higher at the beginning. Since everyone is on an Apple IPhone high today here is a perfect example:
IPhone 3G: $199 ....later on IPhone 3G: $99
Pre: $199 ...later on Pre: $149
hmm....you want cheaper...then leave and come back in about 3-6 months and you can get it possibly for $0.99 or FREE.
This is AWESOME and a step in the right direction Palm. KUDDOS again to you, keep up the good work.
Pre - June 09
1.1 - cant remember
1.2 - Oct 09
1.2.1 - Oct 09
$$ Apps - Oct 09
WOW - sure beating the hell outta how any other mobile maker does things. Keeping at this pace will definitely get this phone rolling out a prime OS within a year....DANG took Apple 3 years...definitely dont want an Iphone dup in that aspect.
OK, just to be clear, if the App Catalog listed the app for $.99 and then proceeded to charge you $1.99 for it, you got ripped off. On the other hand, if the App Catalog lists the app for $1.99 and you buy it even though you don't think it's worth $1.99, you didn't get ripped off, you made a dumb purchase. just so you know.
My first App Receipt just arrived in my email:
Air Hockey 1.99
Tax .18
-----------------
Total $2.17
Wasn't expecting the tax :-)
Ouch. That is 10%. Where do you live?
New York City (Queens)
Whoa, that's interesting. I got my receipt and I was not charged tax. And I'm in CA, same as Palm and Acceleroto.
Tax may depend where the app author is from, or where the server distributing the app is located, or perhaps just a local internet tax law that is state specific.
So I googled "New York tax download" out of curiosity.
It seems that taxing downloads was proposed in December:
http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2008/12/16/2008-12-16_gov_david_pate...
...but retracted in March...
http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2009/03/11/2009-03-11_thank_obama_st...
So I guess I'm surprised you still had to pay tax. Make sense to you?
Nice find -- thanks!
An excerpt from the 2nd article (emphasis mine):
"The eliminated taxes included the 18% Fat Tax, which Paterson intended to charge on non-diet sodas, and the Digital Property Sales Tax, which would have extended state sales taxes to downloaded software, games and entertainment."
I guess somewhere along the line the tax was put back on the table. Either that or Palm is using some outdated tax tables. Hmmmm. I think I'll post this question to them on the official Palm forums. Thanks again for the heads up.
18% fat tax for not diet sodas?...lol cause non diet sodas supposedly make you fat?
How aout a 18% crazy tax on diet sodas since aspartame apparently can cause schizophrenia.
next year they'll be a 13.37$ leet charge added to all sales of technology during the first 90 days of sale.
Ok i've apparently used up all my character credits for this session. that's all for now.
Cant download it, says " sorry not enough memory ????? Please delete an app to make room ??? I have like NO apps on this phone , what the hell is this all about ?????????
Did you pay for it before it told you it can't be downloaded due to the memory limit imposed by Palm?
Has anyone else come up against a seemingly unreasonable memory restriction here? I'm not exactly sure, but I don't think I've downloaded that many things via Preware/WQI, but I still can't seem to get within the memory limit...
Looks like they are kicking around a solution at webos-internals.org...see here:
http://www.webos-internals.org/wiki/Solution_to_App_Catalog_Installation...
and here:
http://forums.precentral.net/web-os-development/205649-resolution-app-ca...
I'm not a linux guru, but it looks like they may have something on the horizon for non-developers like me. Like they say at the top of the page, it is unfortunate that Palm didn't resolve this issue with the 1.2 update!
Free advertisement for Air Hockey, being the "first paid app"?
Disappointment for a first paid app but super excited nonetheless just to finally see paid app here! Let's hope they don't wait until next Monday now for the 2nd. I want to see more today.. they like to release things around 5pm Pacific...
If it's just a matter of resizing /var, then it shouldn't be that hard to fix, I think, in theory.
When I get a chance, I'll go into Linux and fire up gparted and see what I can see. For some reason, novaterm is crashing in Windows 7 for me. Some kind of arithmetic Java error.
Curious about this /var memory cap. Have the devs not found any way to fix it? "Just" a partitioning issue? Damn, I wish I had me a Pre. Time for forum sniffing...
went to install... no go... not enough space... erased 5 apps..restarted Luna.... still no. I have 25 apps on the device right now.. mostly very light weight. I guess Palm doesn't want my money, nor do they want the developers to sell their apps. This issue is a bad one.. what was the reason for the limit in the first place?
How many total Apps do people have???
I have 73
Tap launcher icon on bottom right. Click launcher menu on top left and select 'List Apps'. Count the number of downloaded applications (first list), then the number of built-in applications (second list).
There are two limits, a memory (storage, not RAM) limit and a quantity limit. It is very unlikely anyone is reaching the storage limit given the average size of these apps.
I have 38 downloads (includes homebrew apps downloaded using FileCoaster) and 35 built-in apps for a total of 73 apps.
Last I heard the limit was 50 apps. Did palm raise the limit?
36 built in
25 other apps homebrew and cat.
Does anyone know if u can buy apps with a prepaid credit card? j/w
By my rough count there are already nearly ten people who posted here who want this App but cannot not download it due to the memory limit.
Palm needs to get the message, or the developers will abandon the platform before it even gets underway.
I think everyone who tries to download a paid app and hits the limit should send email to the developer. Say "I'd really like to buy your app, but my Pre won't let me download it. Maybe you should check with Palm about that?" That might light a fire 8^)
All of these apps (Games) are going to blow until the SDK is more advanced. This exact app, even version 1, was never this bad on the iPhone.
Lets go Palm...
One paid app! Not exactly a big roll out!
On the positive side it came out on a day other than Thurs.
Now we can check for new apps 7 days a week. Hope the servers are up to it
We are STILL under 100 apps. Just 2 more pretty please.
I see a bug already. Anyone notice that the rating and review count show nothing, when there are actually ratings and reviews?
Its not a bug. You missed that it has not been downloaded yet.
I thought it would get some buyers as a reward for the being the first paid app, but not yet.
I'm not talking about the screencap on this post, my Pre shows the same thing. If I hit Reviews, there are at least 10...
You can't review an app you don't have.
Umm... I get that... but I don't have to buy it to see the rating and review count either...
Who wants to be a Millionaire is now included as well!
So CapCom wants to be a millionaire. Buy their app. :)
Any bets on how long until someone grabs the app off their pre, packages it as an ipk, and posts it up somewhere for everyone to download for free? And the "First paid webOS app" gets a news posting for "First pirated webOS app?"
I wonder how palm is going to handle this eventuality. Assuming paid apps are stored on the pre the same way every other app is, getting it off and repackaging it would take less then 2 minutes for anyone who knows what they're doing. And only slightly longer if they didn't.
Side note:
This isn't really the "First paid webOS app." The first app you can purchase directly through the catalog, yes. Classic, The Missing Sync, and even MyTether (yes, I know they call it a donation, but lets be honest, it's a purchase) have been for sale long before this was in the catalog. But I guess "First overpriced app you can buy in the catalog" or "First app you can buy in the catalog isn't a fart app!" aren't as good.
I hope they've put in some kind of hash specific to the phone that becomes part of the app so that it only runs on that device.
Being able to pirate software that easily would be death to this catalog. Developers would run.
I dunno. It's pretty damn easy on the iPhone and I don't know a single iPhone user (personally) who does it. Most people would rather just pay the buck or two.
SECOND paid app has been rolled out: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
How Much?
$4.99 by Capcom Interactive.
11.5 megs! Yikes, Palm sure better rollout a mini fix for this memory problem very soon! This one app could max out our limit if we can even manage to get it installed. :(
It's not the memory (storage partition) limit that is likely being reached, rather the number of apps limit (much more sad really when you think about it).
This has been discussed and proven ad nauseum in the forums.
gonna be an issue and until they fixed it. 11 apps can't install shit.
I wonder how the background will look on the shorter Pixi...
Anyone know if you could use a prepaid credit card to buy apps? Because i really want to buy the apps just don't feel like getting a credit card just to do so.
Have you tried registering the Prepaid Card to see if it will be accepted. Sometimes it's better to try it out before asking.
I don't have a Prepaid Card but i would gladly go out and get one if i knew it worked i just wanted to know if anyone had already bought one and tried it so as not to waste my time.
OH MY GOD STOP SPAMMING
You don't have a check card? Seriously??
This is a perfectly legitimate question. i'd like to know the answer as well.....
Calm down and think before you speak.
not everyone has a credit card.
Not everyone needs a credit card.
Not everyone will WANT a credit card tied to their phone.
Good question. I hope it is answered well.
nb
right, hence his question about a check card. Every checking accound comes with one so you can use the atm and make credit purchases that are paid for with your checking acct. Pretty standard.
You are commenting on a debit card, but I think the poster was asking about cards that are prepaid. Meaning that you load money onto them and can use them like credit or debit cards when needed. I think they should work just like you explain, but I can't be sure since I dont' have one to try (and can't download any new apps anyway because of the limit).
Also, I hope that my comment wasn't taken as against the poster with the question, but instead at the fellow who decided to comment ignorantly and rudely on anothers economic choice/status.
nb
not gonna be buying any apps till palm decides to tell me how much memory I have available for apps or increase the space for apps since I don't store any music on this phone. wasted space that I can use for apps.
Five bucks for who wants to be a millionare? You gotta be kidding
Yep. Just imagine how much some of the "quality" apps will cost us.
I believe that's how much it is for the iphone as well.
Just keep saying to yourself this isn't an Iphone this isn't an Iphone.
WHAT!??!
I thought this was a Palm iPhone.
(please realize I am kidding...)
nb
5$ for who want's to be a millionaire? Well do they at least say how many questions come in the game?...Cause I'd hate to have mastered the game after playing it for 3 days.
Then again..............you can't be a millionaire if your 5$ short. ;)
Palm really needs to take over pricing these apps, because judging by these Prices Air Hockey : $1.99, and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire $5 are just a little bit more than i was expecting to pay for apps...
To the point, I think the air hockey game works very well. Better than the first arcade style games I was expecting. And really, $2 is too much for anything? Developers need to eat..
Jeez palm, when is the pre really gonna be "released"? cause so i've been swiping and multi tasking my calendar and email for the last 3 months and well.....it's getting kinda old...I'm afraid to see what OS 4.81 offers. I'm thinking along the lines of a shutter mute function.
I think palm should just appologize to the webos developers and release a true linux core for the home brew guys to tear up so we can get a truly sick phone rather then a seriously ill one.
Walk away palm........i forgive you...no really.....walk away.....
Dude if you don't like the phone get rid of it. Join the Iphone flock. No one is stopping you.
why are you getting made he is just saying how he feels....i guess your'll be in the palmpre flock until the next best thing comes along. a__wipe
Thanks for all the nice names you called me. I feel the same way sometimes. The truth is if it bothered me that bad I would just get a new phone.
Your frind a__wipe.
I cant, i love sprint lol. I go back and forth between my pre and tp2 for now.
Another Paid app hit Block Drop
Man who is smoking crack with these 5 dollar apps? Are they serious...if this keeps up i'll for sure just get an iphone.
I totally agree with you on this one. What the hell are they thinking? $4.99?????
Your Friend
A__wipe
I agree as well. $.99 is the most I'd pay for a tetris remake. $4.99 isn't even a consideration. $1.99 for the table hockey one is okish, $4.99 for Who Wants To Be a Millionaire is starting to push it (even assuming it's a good quality app), but $4.99 for tetris is pretty high IMO.
On the bright side, I think that as more apps hit the catalog that the prices will go down. Especially as others release free or $.99 tetris apps and etc. :)
lol....apolgize for the name callling, that was un called for...thanks for being the bigger man
A demo would be nice before dropping 1.99 on something that could easily be free.
And BlockDrop is also in the house at $4.99.
Considering many already gave the developer money for that one, that's the first that I find to be complete BS.
But otherwise, the prices are good compared to old Palm apps and compared to WM apps.
Oh, and we've now hit 100 total, it seems.
So how many people have spent the 15 bucks by now??
Number 100 in the App Catalog ! Block Drop with a $4.99 price. A little expensive for a Tetris re-make I think, but the market will decide.

I remember reading in the forums that there are two limits, a storage memory limit (/var partition) and an app quantity limit (was 50 at the time I read it).
The storage limit was so large that it was likely never to be reached based on the size of the existing apps in the App Catalog & Homebrew -- even if you had downloaded them all you'd have plenty of space left over.
The app count limit is much more serious. It is pretty small considering there are already 30+ built-in apps that count towards the total cap of 50 (by the way, I have 70+ apps installed via FileCoaster so this limit must have been raised).
Now here is the strange part. I recall reading the Preware app was the only installer that let you bypass the 50 app limit. So it's kind of ironic if it solved one problem (app number limit) but created another (reduced storage limit by a significant amount due to it's own size). Talk about being out of the frying pan and into the fire!
One thing is for sure, this is a serious issue that Palm needs to address.
