If it makes any of your geeks feel better, yesterday I got a glossy Sprint mailer showing the Palm Pre in it's full glory! It is a very well-designed mailer going out to the Sprint's expired-contract customers about the Palm Pre and the "Now Network". I have it. Looks very snazzy! They need to send this out to everybody as a mass mailer to, ya know... "Future Sprint Customer", just like other companies do.
I like how in the Sprint/Palm Pre mailer there is a quote from Jon Stokes from Ars Technica saying, "I experienced something very strange and quite unexpected while watching Palm demonstrate the new OS: my iPhone suddenly felt old and played out."
I'm out of contract and I didn't get a mailer yet. SPRIIIIINT, WHERE'S MY MAILER?!? Maybe it came and my wife through it away before I got home because she's tired of listening to me talk about this thing.
i purpose that we go on strike on palm if they dont give us a date thats dumb not to give a date to your loyal supporters
Palm is going to be put out of business by the iPhone 4G with its slide out landscape keyboard with game controller. Pre sales won't even compare. bye bye Palm!!!!
Sorry iPhone-fanboy, this is no '4G' coming. I mean seriously, they are releasing iPhone OS 3.0 in June - right before or inconjuction with 'iPhone 4G'? Makes no sense.
Furthermore, do you even know what 4G stands for? 4th Generation. 3G = 3rd Generation. I refers to the wireless connectivity. 4G = Wimax, of which AT&T has no capability!
And even if there was the iPhone you described coming out, why would it only put Palm out of biz? and not BlackBerry, Samsung, Nokia, HTC? Clearly you are just an "Anonymous" Palm Pre-hater!

Paul, here in the Netherlands we get the Palm pre in July on the Vodafone network. Also the unlocked GSM will be available around that time.
