Want more evidence that the Pre release is imminent? How about AT&T sending a document around their internal network for employees to bone-up on some anti-Pre, pro-iPhone talking points ...and then holding some in-store seminars for employees to make sure they get the message?
There are a few points here that are indisputable, but fans of the Pre might take umbrage at a few of the things here about the Pre (click the image above for the full size):
- The Palm Pre "Touchscreen control gestures not intuitive" whereas the iPhone features "Patented Multi-Touch screen" and "Fast and responsive navigation." Hokay.
- The iPhone sports a "Thinner, lighter, bigger screen, metal and glass design" while the Pre is "Available in Black only; plastic casing."
- The Pre gets knocked for not being a GSM world phone and "Limited free Wi-Fi access" because they don't get to use AT&T Hotpots.
- The Pre has an "Unproven App Catalog app store."
Ok, so we'll leave it as an exercise to our readers to debunk and take issue with any and all of the above (well, here's a start: the weight difference between the iPhone and the Pre: two grams. OH NOES!).
If this feels familiar to anybody, it should. Same thing happened in the months running up to the launch of the BlackBerry Storm, which caused a small flurry of Duelin' Documents between AT&T and RIM. Don't take this lying down, Palm (but don't hurt your relationship with AT&T either, we're eager to see the Pre on AT&T ASAP).
Thanks anonymous tipster!!

makes AT&T sound like a bunch of used car salesmen!
It's funny how lame some people are. AT&T are not being "used car salesmen" with this approach. They have invested millions of dollars in iPhone distribution and their network. They are being smart business people in ensuring that their investment is protected. Their shareholders would expect nothing less, don't you think?
I don't know. The iPhone has a serious death grip on the market IMHO.

Wow, you said it. This document makes ATT Look terrible. I Think they're starting to realize the palm pre is a real threat to the iphone now. The only thing the iphone has going for it is all the apps. Wait till a free mmorpg gets released for the pre. When it does - it's over. Pre will win :P

At&t might be a good if you are travelling the world, but most US based users dont need it. Its more important to me how its works in the US.
I travel overseas, but i will never roam simply because of the cost is too expensive. I better spend additional 10 - 20 USD. to get a local prepaid sim card.
1 minute roaming typically will cost you 3-5 USD. No way :P.
The documents should mention that AT&T will not allow iPhone sim unlocks, so you're not allowed to use local sim cards, and roaming is your only option, (at those rates, you're probably better off buying a cheap gsm phone for travel).
going to japan this weekend and my iphone will be off the entire time credit cards
And you can't use a prepaid SIM on an iPhone. They've effectively neutered the iPhone's GSM ability. Your only option is to switch to AT&T's International plan or get the high hat.
The iPhone they sell in the U.S. is pretty much a U.S. only device.
It's called Skype.
Roaming is so 2008.

ATT has a big business and enterprise market that Sprint doesn't have, that is why the comments here focus on price only.
Like many people with high end phones my company pays my mobile and the fact that a GSM handset can work in Paris or Cairo, and the Sprint Pre will not, is important.
I am not iPhone lover, I use a Touch Pro GSM at the moment, but I will go to Touch Pro 2 GSM before I touch CDMA, which is near useless in most of the world.
$3 - 5 when your roaming?? Are you using a satellite phone in the middle of the Sahara or something? The most i pay when im in Europe is around $.99 give or take a few cents in different countries, and I have AT&T. Just a thought. . .
Yeah, I love how they put it down with "limited wifi capability" yet the sprint network is so fast and covers so much area where business customers would need it that you don't NEED the wifi.
The cruise lines I am going to decide on have a very interesting pack and I think that I am going to pick them because they are also offering one of these and as far as I can see people seem to really enjoy it.

this is sad. But the masses who flock to the evil orange and blue will eat it up.

They are scared I tell ya, sccccaaaaaaarrrreeeddd
And with very good reason. :)
scared?
look... lets put all the hype aside for a moment on both sides of the argument, iphone and pre.
-the iphone is one of the fastest selling smartphones in history.
-the iphone has moved more apps (arguably, some are ridiculous) than any other phone in history.
people need to get it out of their head, that the iphone must lose in order for palm to succeed. the pre is coming into this game with a severe handicap... if its lucky, it will move a couple of million phones in a year or so. but it will most likely fall short. that doesnt mean that it has failed though.
for the sake of being open: i am an iphone owner, but have owned nothing but palm devices prior to the iphones release. while the pre is a damn nice phone, and what palm needs to stay alive... it is far from spectacular enough to make me give up my iphone.
"the iphone must lose in order for palm to succeed"
Huh? Are you saying that there is room for only one smartphone? The two cannot independently succeed? If this is the case, someone had better notify all of the other smartphone manufacturers - clearly, they are wasting their time!
you missed half of his sentence. he said that people need to get it out of their head that the iphone must lose in order for palm to succeed. in other words, the exact opposite.
I will give the benefit of the doubt to the poster here... That they just mis-read the comment rather than purposely quoted out of context.
However, it makes me think of the drive-by media. Take something out of context and turn it into this ridiculous thing that someone said.
I'm sure that wasn't the intent here, though.
Dido!
I cant wait to get my Pre and walk into ATT store and have when show me how control gestures not intuitive :)
They will be too busy selling iPhones to bother o care about your demo.
How do YOU know that its intuitive? Its not out!
Well, I dunno about him, but I've spent about half an hour with a Pre at Mobile World Congress Barcelona, and it IS very intuitive.
And that's not subjective, and it's not "too short a test". Basically, if you can figure out an OS shell in 30 minutes, it must be intuitive. I liked a lot of the UI features, like the WinVista Alt-Tab equivalent for flipping between app screens - and the miniturized carousel of screens were all live (video could be seen playing in one).
But it was funny. I could use the phone, but the Palm guy had it resting in his hand the whole time. That was their rule in order to not "lose" a handset.
Someone needs to revise the Pre column with correct factual/useful information and repost it on the web.
This is an internal ATT document. For ATT employees eyes only to help brainwash/inform themselves on how to market/persuade potential users. The Pre column doesn't have to be factual at all.
If there were a realistic chance of the Pre on AT&T's network, would they release this?
I guess that, technically, they didn't release it. They're just supposed to be internal talking points, right?
Okay, then. I have no point.
> "If there were a realistic chance of the Pre on AT&T's network, would they release this?"
Right. It sounds more like a list of (probably not totally correct) facts as to why you would want to buy an iPhone from us rather than a Pre from "them". If AT&T is going to sell both then what should it matter which one a customer gets (other than perhaps they actually make more from the ridiculous plan pricing they run on iPhones).
att is sounding like time warner
so the back of iphone 3g is made from what diamonds give me a break as stating the pre is plastic att is full of crap ...
I compared my centro to the iphone and if I'm not mistaken the pre is about the same size and weight as the centro. so the i(hate this)phone weighed a ton and bit large for my tiny hands.
sure it has all that glass and metal which is good I guess if you ever need to beat someone over the head once and knock em out. when I put a phone in my pocket or bag the last thing I want is extra weight.
glass and metal so cold and unfriendly come on Palm/Sprint let me feel that organic soft Pre in my hand.
My brother dropped his iPhone onto the concrete floor at Home Depot. I'm sure he was thinking that his shattered glass screen was way better than the new Palm's plastic one.
& there's no insurance for the iphone so at least if my Pre is run over by a truck I can pay $50 & get a replacement. Iphone people have to fork over the full cost. Talk about robbery. My coworkers iphone shuts off randomly on its own she's been back and forth 5 times, ppl say Sprint has bad CS but after three times if your phone isn't fixed and its an error on their part they get you a new phone.
Don't spout misinformation. You will pay $100 for Pre with Sprints insurance on top of the $100 per year with tax for the insurance.
There's no $100 tax, only insurance of $100. I've been given free phones from sprint when my old phone malfuntioned. Sprint's has a past history of poor customer service, but the last two years or so, they have been grrreat.
yea they have apple care but if you dropped it it doesnt cover it !! thats so lame thas y amgoing wit the pre
Actually, Sprint CS is awesome. I never paid an insurance claim, and I own the Touch Pro. The most expensive phone Sprint Currently Carries. It has been replaced three times at no cost to me. I pay the small amount of $7 dollars per month, but it is way better to pay the $100.00 (if i ever have to) rather than the 700 dollars for the phone. Also, sprints new 4G network will blow everyone elses out of the water. Guess what phone is 4G, the Palm Pre.
yeah dude that's totally wrong. iphones have apple care for one year for free... meaning any problems and your phone is replaced for free. you can spend an extra $60 to have the apple care extend an additional year too. i've already had my iphone replaced once, it was no swear. it's honestly a lot better than standard phone insurance plans.
But, AppleCare doesn't cover dropped phones/cracked glass. And it doesn't cover lost or stolen phones. There's a moisture detector inside so they will know if it got soaked.
Any of those apply and you're hosed (so I'm "very" careful with my iPhone).
How is it better when you can only cover it for two years max?
AT&T failed to mention that Pre will have an emulator that will allow it to use over 50,000 PalmOS apps. (I smile when I see new iPhone apps that perform what a PalmOS program has been doing for years...probably for free.) And, as someone mentioned, AT&T gives it's DSL customers access to all those wi-fi hot spots. You can't blame AT&T for getting some talking points out there but some do appear desperate.
But it works. Sprint/Palm should be more aggressive just the same.
THIS IS AN INTERNAL DOCUMENT, NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT COMPARISON.
How can it "work" when the public doesn't ever see it? Notice that Apple/ATT wouldn't dare do a real comparison that users could judge for themselves.
Sprint/Palm has already started touting their own horn, no need for subjective/deceitful comparisons like this one.
I guess you miss the point. AT&T will market these points to its customers who mention Pre is all.
Meanwhile over at Sprint, you hear the sounds of crickets along with "i don't know" when asked about the Pre.
I hate AT&T's service, but they're ahead of the game marketing. Sprint/Palm need lessons.
You are not making a point. You are just complaining about not knowing a release date for Pre!
Have you ever seen ATT market iPhone directly against anything else, publicly? No.
You are saying "ATT will..." do something, when they haven't, and you don't really know what they will do regarding competition. Then you say their is silence from Sprint/Palm, when they have said repeatedly that they will release by June, and have already made 3 (maybe 4) really good commercials marketing Sprint's upcoming Pre.
wow..i didn't even mention release date. I think i'll pass this time. Carry on :)
I think you made an excellent point. ATT is where it is and has the top brand and sprint has the walmart brand in good part due to its employees and its understanding of marketing
his point was pretty clear
at&T keeps their reps informed not only of their own plans, but on the competitors plans so they can enhance their sales opportunities with customers interested in other options
sprint doesn't even tell their reps what they are going to do, let alone give them information about the competition that will help them to increase sprint sales
a corporate culture of half-assedness and failure that explains the continual growth/decline in subscriber numbers for both companies
You know the exact middle of the year in a non leap year is July 2nd....so if it comes out july 2nd that would still be the first half of the year.
Everyone is fixated on the last day of june as the last possible day but it could be july.
Of course im splitting hairs here but so what, they might even be able to get away with fudging by a few days or a week or something, as long as they had a specific date announced.
Say next month they announce that the release date july 5th. I think they could possibly get away with it.
Bullhockey. How many people walk into a carrier's office or kiosk and mention "well, its between you and [blank]"? While it makes perfect sense to come up with this type of plan, the fact is that the arguments will be useful to only a fraction of customers.
Also - leaked? My fat butt it was leaked! By AT&T!
Has AT&T ever done this with other up and coming smartphones? I daresay not. Fact: AT&T's getting just a wee bit nervous.
I'll just be glad that when the Pre comes out, all those who talk up the strength of AT&T's 3G network (laughable) will find out just how badly the evil orange and blue has been bending them over for their iPhoney data package.
LOL "just how badly the evil orange and blue has been bending them over for their iPhoney data package."
Classic!
I have AT&T uverse so I do have access to all of there wifi hotspots for free... even though this is a sprint phone.
D'oh! Bad move AT&T! If the Pre's gesture's aren't as good as the iPhone, given they were ported over by Rubenstein and iPhone engineers, you've just put a dent in our chances for "patent pugilism" lawsuits...
Please, please learn to put internet lulz ahead of your own petty corporate spin ;)
Actually Rubenstein didn't work on the iPhone at all! A lot of the old Apple people that work for Palm are software engineers, writing programs, not really working on universal UI aspects like gestures. Nonetheless, Pre's UI is superior to iPhone's: gesture area, physical keyboard navig, swipe to close apps, etc.
He's been noted for having a disagreement with Steve Jobs on the design of the original iPhone and whether or not it should have a physical keyboard. Sure sounds like he was working on it to me.
Being a Sprint 3G user for some time I can say with almost complete certainty that browsing over the EV-DO Rev A network is going to be faster than a lot of WIFI spots. WIFI is only as fast as the wireless connection (DSL, Cable, etc...), and with 30 people using one WIFI spot, I would rather use Sprint's far superior 3G connection.
Exactly, when I travel I have noticed that Sprints signal inside airports is much faster than wifi. What most At&t customers do not understand is, At&t uses wifi to supplement it's slow network. Sprints devices do not need wifi.
I'm with Matt and Dave, as a U-verse customer I'll have access to all of AT&T's wi-fi also. And of course the plastic case vs. the metal case is an advantage to the Pre in that it allows wireless signals to pass through easier which is one of the major complaints about the iPhone, bad reception. And while I have AT&T now, there are places where I get no signal due to a busy network. Better to get off at this point.
And of course they fail to mention the Nascar and NFL channels, which you can't get on AT&T.
Isn't the back of iPhone 3G, black or white glossy plastic? I remember that iPhone 1 had the aluminum back.
Trust me apart from Sprint TV channels, there is A LOT of core features that they didn't mention about Pre/Sprint that are way better than iPhone/ATT (example: removable back/battery and inductive charging)
At least it sounds better than some of the non-sense that the folks at Sprint said when I told them I was leaving to buy an iPhone. They tried to convince me that the Instinct was a better product and read from the talking points.
I do believe that the Pre will be a solid device and get Palm back in the game. I also believe that the Pre 1.0 will at best be in the neighborhood of iPhone 2.0. Comparing it to the 3.0 is going to be a whole different story since much of what's coming out is still under wraps.
If you geniunely think that Pre will be "at best" in the neighborhood of iPhone 2.0, then you really know nothing about the Pre! That is just laughable!
No it isn't.
Is no one thinking that this may have been leaked from AT&T?
huh? wha?
wha? huh?
What don't you get? Some have suggested that this is not an AT&T advertisement, but if it was leaked BY them, on-purpose, it fulfills a similar goal and purpose.
A way of responding without responding.
To release the pre anywhere near the release of the new iPhone would be absolute suicide! Everyone and their granny knows the new iPhone is coming out this summer, if palm wanted to even give the pre a chance, they would have been far better of with a release in april (giving the pre a two month head-start to make some headway).
I do love some of the features on the pre, for example, the way notifications are handled
(far, far better than the iPhone) multi-tasking, intergrated phonebook with mail, IM’s and Facebook, all very nice features. I just think the timeing is all wrong, the success of the phone depends greatly on what apple has up their sleeves come WWDC 09.
Ehh..i say BS. If Palm was smart, they'd release on the same day as Apple at this point. This fear of what apple does is annoying. Releasing close to apple ensures comparisons from the media and Palm should want that.
I think people forget where Palm was and still is. Basically a nobody right now going on fumes...but with one great OS and last shot. People see iphone vs Pre talk and they'll be curious about the Pre. The fact its even mentioned in comparisons is a big gigantic step from where they were with Palm OS.
You are sorely mistaken. There is little need to fear Apple, the fear is of the cult of Apple freaks. They are a unique breed and they're a part of most every media firm in the country. As soon as a new Apple product comes out the fanboys RAVE about it (even with it's flaws) and that gets pushed into the public eye.
Average Joe Blow is more than likely going to be exposed to the fanboys and media hype over sound judgment. And for that reason, Palm needs to use the same tactic with the Pre. Get it out early enough so that the fanboys/media can give it the attention it deserves and steal some of Apple's thunder! If Palm gets this out at the same time Apple gets the iPhone gen3 out the door the Pre will be overshadowed.
Yes, it is the Apple fanboys that have made the iPhone the best selling phone in the country. I think ignorant anti-Apple people are just as bad as the Apple freaks you mention. Get a grip. Hype is not the only, or main, reason the iPhone sells so well.
Wrong move, and I'll tell you why. Release Palm Pre and iPhone 3.0 on the same day, who gets all the press? Apple. Hell, look at the hoopla that was raised with cut and paste! Pre doesn't need headlines under iPhone, they need front page headlines weeks in advance so that news of the release is not buried.
I agree. I'm an iPhone owner, and basically an Apple fanboy, but I'm not the type that would want to see the Pre fail, nor will I go around saying that the Pre blows chunks or anything like that.
You're right about how the media will be all over the new iPhone and then the last paragraph of every praise article will be like...
"Oh yeah. Palm released the Pre today, too."
And that will be about it. I think a co-release would be a bad idea.
Having been a customer of Cingular and seeing first hand how current ATT users have to walk to windows in buildings to use their phones, world wide coverage like that would simply be awesome...NOT. ATT is the reason I have a Touch and not an Iphone.
forget walk to the window I had to open the window and stick my head out of it. I had $300 worth of calls that never happened because the reception sucked and At&t's response "Anything over 12 seconds is considered a call even if you don't hear the phone ring" talk about poor service. In the end the took $25 off my bill.... never paid it & I've been with Sprint ever since then.
I've been on the Simply Everything plan no roaming, no dropped calls, no bad reception, no funny business on my bills. I haven't called customer service for any complaints since then.
If it wasn't for the iphone At&t would be nothing.
Now THAT'S a good one! people have to walk to WINDOWS in order to use a mac OS-X device properly :P
Next, we would make them walk through Gates to get some Jobs
I have ATT and it has better coverage than any other carrier i have been with!!!
the only arguments that really hold up are the one about the 8GB of storage, and the fact that it's thicker then an iphone.
the rest is just nonsense.
disclaimer: I live in europe so I will get a GSM version of the palm pre, and don't care about the difference between sprint/AT&T
The Pre only has 8GB because the entire point of the Pre is WebOS and its cloud capabilities.
It's thicker by .19 inches but shorter by .54 inches and narrower by .05 inches. I don't see how any of this matters much, especially since .19 inches is not that much considering the Pre has a sliding keyboard to fit into its chassis.
Claiming the Pre is not a world phone makes no sense since, as you stated, Europe is getting a GSM version, making the Pre eventually carrier and network agnostic.
At the end of the day, both devices are stylish and compact. The true comparison will rest completely in Palm's implementation of WebOS and its promise of cloud services versus Apple's iPhone OSX.
What?
1) the document is a comparison of the ATT iphone, which is a worldphone, vs the Sprint Pre which is not a worldphone at all.
2) the 8GB is a very big deal. About 40% of the Palm loyalists on Precentral's own pol wont buy it because of that . The "cloud " is a silly argument since all phones in the same class are "cloud" devices.
The fact is 95% phones in this price class released this year all have more memory capability with user choice than the Pre. It isn't a killer for a slim majority of prospective buyers but it is a serious mark in the "con" category
Gotta say I am concerned about the plastic screen, I have a instinct and scratches though minor are enough to blurr the screen. anyone know for sure it's plastic and not glass?
I see nothing on the facts sheet on it.
Unintended irony from AT&T's leaked Pre/iPhone chart: Pre has "[v]ery limited business applications at launch." Unlike iPhone?!?
Maybe they should place this comparation on internal docs too. =P

Here's some info...
As someone recently said,
"Huh? Wha?"
Pre must quickly go GSM...the only minus currently worthy of conversation.
I know that "Not having to install iTunes" is a big plus. I hate having to install Apple's malware just to sync my phone.

CDMA has better call quality
"No synch, must drag and drop" - some of us consider this a feature, not a bug. :-)
And how much are those international roaming fees again?
I used to work for a cell phone agent and we got memos like this all the time. We even had one that showed why our brand of RAZR was better than AT&T's RAZR.
You can word anything to a customer and make it sound logical. You could take the fact that the Pre has a QWERTY keyboard and that it operates on the "Cloud" and use them against it, too.
"The disadvantage to the Pre's keyboard is that it is hardware based, meaning it can never change. The iPhone has a software keyboard that can show different characters if need be."
"The Pre pulls your contacts from online sources. What happens when you have no signal?!"
Even though these statements are weak, they certainly work in the sales world.
It's good that Apple/AT&T sees the Pre as a competitor, though :)
OK, something to keep in mind is that Pre has an onscreen keyboard as well, nobody has mentioned that even once... Also, The release date as of last week is May17th, its already shown up on our incentive program for the month of April, and there was never even an April release in the works. Generally that has always happened the month before the phone is release, so I guess that might serve as further proof of the may release.
It pulls contacts to store on the phone... if you never have a signal, then its just not the service for you.
The Pre *doesn't* have an onscreen keyboard, though. Not onboard, anyway. Of course, there are bound to be 5 (off-the-cuff guess) from developers before we know it...
i'd like to see them do a chart like this compared to the first generation iPhone or the iPhone 3G at launch....
It seemss as though there not keeping in mind that the Pre IS first generation for Palm.....
I think this is a good sign that at&t see's this phone as a competition. Considering the PRE's materials (plastic vs glass and metal) i hope this means the phone will be know more the $149 or $200 with touchstone charger and other goodies.
I LoVe You! LOL!
So I can have 10 8GB cards and have 80GB of storage with a pre, I thought it would do 16 or 32GB cards I wonder y not...
to all the AT&T iPhone losers, where do I put the SD card in that phone, to add to it's limited 16GB storage, hmmmm nope doesnt work that way, rather stupid that you can't upgrade the storage, my MP3 collection alone is over 12GB and growing, add in a few mp4's for watching tv shows thats another 8GB+ so what would I do, hmmm let's see get a real phone that actually has the ability to store a lot of data!!!
Even the storm supports 32GB multiply that by 3 cards and thats nearly 100GB. wow screw the i(diot)Phone.
yes flattering indeed. Im really starting to feel good about the PRE.
Sorry, but the Pre does not (for some bizarre reason) support SD or any other removable external storage card. Blah.
If you actually listen to all that music you should consider buying a MP3 player to not drain the battery that much unless you want to run around with several spares together with your SD cards.
I can see you looking at 6 SD cards (not that they are supported anyway) and ask yourself, ok, where do I have that picture of my dog that I took in California 7 years ago.
And then you realize, oops - 6 in my hand, one in the phone, where is the 8th card (of course the one with your entire music collection)?
As far as us i(diot)Phone losers, while you guys are still waiting for something that hasn't arrived yet, we have been using this technology for almost 2 years now.
Until the day that the Pre outsells the iPhone and proves to be an actual "iPhone killer" (like so many others tried before) we iPhone users might not be the losers you want us to be.
While I hope that the Pre is successful (to save a great company to say the least) it's iPhone haters like you that make me wish that the Pre explodes in your hand when it freezes up!
Wow, this makes a lot of sense.. I may reconsider getting the Pre and stick with my iPhone. ;)
Seriously though, I actually think that it's kind of flattering toward the Pre that Apple / AT&T see it as a big enough threat to create some bogus document like this.
What about:
Synergy?
Multitasking?
Physical keys.. GOD how I miss physical keys.
Synergy and Multitasking and a better form factor are three things I'm REALLY looking forward to, over my iPhone, and these are 3 things the iPhone will NEVER have without a complete hardware redesign..
They're trying to say that 'drag and drop' for music is a bad thing? whatever.
iTunes is a piece of carp. Drag and drop is 10X as fast and less faulty at all times.
Lack of iTunes is a huge bonus for many. Drag-and-drop is a great alternative, and for those who want sync apps, I bet ones that are better/simpler/less bloated than iTunes will exist shortly (if not already?).
Lets not forget DRM. If you have your music in iTunes, it ain't gonna play no matter how far you drag and drop it (unless, like me, anything purchased through iTunes is ripped and converted before going back into my library). Even with that argument, iTunes is far from intuitive, still lacking basic organizational functionality - ie: its a pig with lipstick :)
That's not strictly correct - the (kinda) new iTunes Plus stuff is all DRM-Free. Not all pieces of music are in the Plus category, but enough are that it's not too bad.
But yes, iTunes in general sucks balls. In addition the points mentioned above, it's a major resource hog.
If it can't play Ogg Vorbis and FLAC, and it doesn't give me options like skip silence, tempo/pitch/rate adjustment, and a choice of media players, it's not worth it.
Agreed. iTunes is a controlling, bloatware negative in my book.
people still purchase music from itunes I've been downloading stuff for free all these years couldn't care less about itunes. I carry a mp3 player anyway I hate draining my phone battery on music. 8gbs is plenty for me my centro has a 2gb card that's not full so imagine 8.
They left out...
Wireless charging
Better camera with higher resolution AND flash
Sprint $99 UNLIMITED EVERYTHING PLAN
Synergy
Ability to run background apps
In a nutshell so many points can be brought up that bring the PRE to the forefront
GSM is a joke as far as call quality. The only benefit of it is its used around teh world. If you dont have a need to travel CDMA is your best bet as far as call quality. Thats why Sprint and Verizon are always on top of market research polls and call quality assessments.
I am 90% sure you wont see it on ATT as ATT does not want competition to its deal with teh iPhone. Once the iPhone sales drop then you will see a deal. But until then ill be using some pre goodness on teh sprint network.
I like how their so scared that they have to attack it before it's even released 'cause they know when it is, they will be beyond screwed! ha go suck it and put it where it belong AT&T!
